Each photo of the series has its own definite plot; it is something like of a particular essay or freely flying associations in the domain of literature, history, painting, theater, cinema and other arts. In the photos you can easily identify themes from Death of Marat, Portrait of Dorian Grey, Images of Eva Brown, Cotton Club, Carl Bryullov’s Female Images, Conversation with Tina Madotti, etc. Vladimir’s photographic technique enables to squeeze the idea of an entire literary work, a painting or a movie into a single frame. Each of the photos is based on a plot developed by the author himself proceeding from his own artistic imagination.
All the photos are black-and-white, tinted with a rare inclusion of traditional colors. Still all the images, whatever monochromatic they might be, boast a full spectrum of vivid hues.
